With the oncoming of the tide of aging, housing for the elderly has become a social problem that has great impact on the elders' physical and mental health as well as social harmony. The paper analyses the major factors that influence the elders' housing condition, introduces the innovative measures taken in some countries and regions, and reviewed the defects of China's current housing policies. Some suggestions are put forward for the improvement of China's urban housing policies for the elders.
