With the development of China urbanization, more and more farmers went to cities, working in different fields. These migrate workers have become a large group in China city employment system. For reasons such as Hukou (household registration), farmer migrants have been disadvantaged in labor market, who, compared with urban labor, are suffering from more unemployment risk and are unlikely to get access to urban social welfare services. Whatis their employment situation? How many of them have bought unemploymentinsurance? How many of them have got training for new employment opportunities? How to promote the migrant workers. employment opportunities? This paper tries to find answers to these questions through a case study of migrate workers in Beijing.
