This paper has reviewed the provincial differences of the structure of China's labor force from three points of view:industrial structure, educational level and ow nership structure.The outcome of the analysis shows that there are great disparities among the differentindustries in the development of labor force and some new changes have emerged since the 1990's.The gap of educational level of labor force has significantly influence over the development of regional economy.The development of the ow nership structure has different stresses in the different areas and there are differentials in employment effect caused by different types of non-public economy.
