Through reviewing and analyzing the relative literatures, this paper points out that identity discriminate on, labor skills, rights protection, land transfers and so on are the main obstacles affecting the quality of peasants' employment. The peasants are facing difficult choices:to be farmers or to be workers, to migrant or stay in their hometowns, to be peasant or to be citizens, to increase income or to development themselves etc. Policy options should change the concepts such as the peasant does not need employment and to be farmer isn't employment etc. Government should take peasants' employment as an important part of the employment promotion and social development strategy, take measures to eliminate the barriers to peasants' employment and to help peasants get jobs through various channels.
